Mr. Ghanta Rama Bhadra Rao is a distinguished professional with a postgraduate degree in Sugar Technology, boasting an impressive career of over 40 years in the chemical industry. His expertise spans roles in Production Management and Technical Marketing. His journey commenced in 1979 and culminated with his retirement in May 2023.
Throughout his extensive career, Mr. Rao held various key positions in a range of renowned companies, particularly in East Africa. Notable among these are his contributions to organizations like Miwani Sugar Company Ltd, Desbro Chemicals Limited, and South Nyanza Sugar Company, among others. Having recently retired, Mr. Rao has transitioned into the role of an investor.
He's also taken on the responsibility of serving as a Director at IIRM Kenya Insurance Brokers Private Limited, marking a new chapter in his professional journey.
Ramakrishna Vurakaranam is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of Corporate Experience prior to founding IIRM Holdings Group and India Insure. His passion for Institution building ,Team work and Technology driven Customer service drives the group.
He pioneered the Licensing of Insurance broking in India and actively lobbied for getting the Regulation passed in parliament. Championing the cause of Insurance broking was crusade for him and he actively propagated the concept in media in conferences and in all public forums. He was an active participant of Insurance brokers Association of India and Director for 2 terms.
His vision to build an employee listed organization has come good with the group holding company being listed on the Mumbai Stock exchange. He is actively pursuing his dream of taking the India Insure's model accross the country.
Sasi Kumar Adidamu is the Vice – Chairman of IIRM Kenya Insurance Brokers. He is based out of Hyderabad and shall assist the Chairman in driving the Group forward to the next level. He will focus on helping to grow India Insure’s International footprint in Africa and Far east and strengthening the base in Lanka and Maldives. On the Indian market front he will actively focus on the Acquisitions we are planning and strengthen our Property and Engineering portfolio.
Prior to this role , Sasi Kumar was the Chief Distribution Officer ( CDO) , Institutional Sales for Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and was responsible for leading the company’s IB portfolio through various distribution channels such as Bancassurance , Brokers and Direct Corporate business. He was also responsible for strategic tie-ups through Government Business and Crop Insurance. He also managed product portfolio of the organization.
Prior to CDO role, Sasi Kumar managed Company’s underwriting , Claims , Re-insurance and Risk Management portfolio as Chief Technical Officer ( CTO).
In his earlier role prior to CTO, he handled portfolios as varied as underwriting, claims, marketing & sales at various Zones as Zonal Manager for different geographies viz East Zone , South Zone and West zone.
Sasi Kumar has rich experience of three and half decades and started his insurance career as Direct recruit officer in 1989 with New India Assurance Company. He has worked with the PSUs for over 12 years before joining Bajaj Allianz in the year 2001. Sasi Kumar has also had a brief stint with the IT sector , having worked as a Business Analyst with an Australian IT company.
Sasi Kumar Adidamu holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India. He has also completed advanced Engineering Insurance training at Munich Re at Munich , Germany and Advanced re-insurance program at Gen Re , Germany.
Besides work, Sasi Kumar is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his family.
Associated with India Insure since August 2017, Mr Rao guides the Company on its International expanion and reinsurance. Mr Rao comes with over 40 years of experience in the Insurance Industry and has had a wide exposure to both the domestic and International markets.
He started his career with New India Assurance and as part of his tenure there he handled operations in Kuwait for 6 years and was the MD & CEO of Prestige Assurance, Nigeria ( subsidiary of New India) for about 4 years. After a short stint in National Insurance company, Mr. Rao moved to GIC Re as Director & General Manager in 2012.
He successfully set up and operationalised GIC RE South Africa and retired as MD & CEO of GIC RE South Africa after ensuring almost 40% growth in premiums in the first year of operations of the company and also obtaining a S&P BB+ rating for GIC RE South Africa
Deepali Ananth Rao is Business Management Graduate with extensive experience in Marketing and Brand building prior to joining India Insure in 2002. She laid the foundation of the Company's marketing initiatives in early years post the broking license in 2003. Her quest for challenges led her to set up the Pune and Mumbai branches and help in implementing the marketing strategy across the country.
She is the Director of India Insure and Heads the Speciality Lines and Reinsurance vertical of the Company. Deepali has established herself as a Subject matter expert in the specialized area of Liability insurance. Insurers in India and abroad count on her counsel in structuring their programs for Liability. She has conducted training programs across the globe.
Over the last decade she has grown the Reinsurance book in India Sri Lanka Maldives and Africa with active support from various international markets in London Paris Singapore and USA. She is networked extensively in the International re insurance markets.
Mr. Sharma has joined IIRM Kenya Insurance Brokers Limited as the Managing Director & CEO. With over 36 years of extensive leadership experience in general insurance, Mr. Sharma has built expertise in underwriting, claims management, administration, and various insurance marketing channels.
He has held several key positions within Oriental Insurance, both in India and internationally. His overseas assignments include serving as Managing Director & CEO for TanzIndia and KenIndia, further demonstrating his strong leadership in the global insurance landscape. Mr. Sharma’s wealth of experience is a valuable asset to IIRM Kenya as it continues to grow and innovate in the insurance sector.
